Cystic fibrosis is a rare condition with a high mortality rate and one that many countries find difficult to manage and understand leaving the child with CF and his/her family in a difficult situation, marginalised at school and in society, causing a tremendous detrimental impact on the mental health of the child, growth, potential and contribution to society.

Mission

To bring awareness to school pupils and students so that they can understand the challenges that their peer(s) with CF have to face, by means of a comic and a video based on the comic, and which will also help to inform teachers, doctors...

Vision

To create a level playing field for children with CF (equity not equality...) allowing them to progress at school and feel truly part and accepted by their communities in order to develop their confidence, educational success, potential, growth, maturity and, as a consequence, add value at the local, national and international levels, creating a more tolerant and sophisticated society.

Fibrosis quística es una enfermedad rara con una mortalidad alta y que muchos países encuentran difícil de manejar y entender dejando al niño con FQ y a su familia en una situación difícil, marginalizándolos en el colegio y en la sociedad con un tremendo impacto negativo en la salud mental del niño, su crecimiento, potencial y su contribución a la sociedad.

Misión

Concienciación ayudando a los niños a comprender los retos de un compañero con FQ a través de un cómic y un video basado en ese cómic, siendo importante educar indirectamente a profesores, médicos…

Visión

Equilibrar la sociedad para los niños con FQ (‘level the playing field’) permitiéndoles progresar en el colegio y ser verdaderamente parte y aceptados por la comunidad para poder desarrollar su confianza, su éxito educacional, su potencial, su crecimiento, su madurez y así añadir valor a nivel local, nacional e internacional, dirigiéndoles a una sociedad más tolerante y sofisticada.
